Biological Photography & Imaging MSc
The taught masters degree has 16 places available each year. Prospective students with scientific backgrounds in biology, zoology, environmental sciences, biochemistry, genetics and biosciences should apply. Graduates from other disciplines may be admitted at the discretion of the course director.
As well as a fully equipped Apple Mac computer room, photographic studios, microscopy suite, and specialised lens hire, students have access to the School of Biology’s mini natural history museum under the care of its own part-time curator Dr David Fox. The School has also recently invested in state of the art digital equipment. Investigation for working with 3D is underway. The school has Fuji ultraviolet and infrared cameras they are the only school in the UK to have this imaging equipment. The students are equipped with a full kit of lenses after they’ve completed the pre foundation course. The kit consists of lenses ranging 18mm up to 300mm, plus macro lens, flashgun and tripod.
