A practice day of filming using Canon 7D and a Canon 550D

The above image is of David McMahon Imaging Course Leader of the MSc Biological Photography and Imaging @The University of Nottingham, he is pictured holding a Golden eagle called Star, which belongs to Dr David Fox, Museum Curator, Natural History, School of Biology. On this day Luke Saddler and Steve Galloway were filming Star and two other Golden Eagles in flight @ Snake Pass using Canon 7D and Canon 550D. Alex Hyde was also at the location taking stills.

It’s time to make some more super sweet videos for the Weekend Project! This week, we are particularly excited because we’ve teamed up with the fine folks over at SoundCloud to get a cool piece of music for you guys to use in a video. This song is by SoundCloud user Vanchy, who also has a Vimeo account. It’s called Catching The Simple But Happy Days (Electronica road song) and it is as good as the title suggests.

German filmmakers Blickinsfreie have just released their new snowboard documentary At Equlibrium to watch on Vimeo.

The film explores snowboarding across seven countries in Eastern Europe including Poland, Slovakia and Romania, and features riding from the likes of Marc Swoboda, Gigi Rüf and Danny Larsen.

The film can also be downloaded for a €4.99 donation to get the film in HD that will be used to fund future documentary projects.

The film is presented by Ripzone Europe and BigAirBag.
