SIGMA 105mm f/2.8 EX DG OS Macro HSM lens

Sigma is pleased to announce the Sigma MACRO 105mm F2.8 EX DG OS Macro HSM lens. This is the successor to the ever popular Sigma MACRO 105mm F2.8 EX DG that was introduced to market in June 2004. This large aperture medium telephoto macro lens incorporates the latest optical design technology, offering advanced performance for close-up photography. A Special Low Dispersion (SLD) lens and one high refractive index SLD lens provide excellent correction for all types of aberration and distortion. A floating focusing system moves two different lens groups in the optical path to different positions. This system compensates for astigmatic aberration and spherical aberration and provides extremely high optical performance from infinity and up to 1:1 ratio  ”life-size” Macro. The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting, providing high contrast images. It is also possible to use this lens with Sigma’s optional APO Tele Converters. Sigma’s own proprietary OS (Optical Stabiliser) function helps with handheld close-up photography and the HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) ensures quiet and high speed autofocus as well as full-time manual focus capability. This lens features a splash resistant design for use in harsh conditions and a rounded 9 blade diaphragm creating a smooth blur to the out of focus areas of the image.

SIGMA 12-24mm f/4.5-5.6 EX DG HSM II

Sigma is pleased to announce the new Sigma 12-24mm F4.5-5.6 DG HSM II. One SLD and four FLD glass elements compensate for colour aberration and provide excellent image quality throughout the zoom range. Three glass mold elements and one hybrid aspherical lens give advanced performance in a compact and lightweight construction and the Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting. This lens has superior peripheral brightness and provides sharp and high contrast images even at the maximum apertures. The HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) AF motor ensures quiet and high speed autofocus while allowing full-time manual focus override This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 28cm (11.0″) throughout the entire zoom range and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:6.4.

SIGMA 50-150mm f/2.8 EX DC APO OS HSM

Sigma is pleased to announce the new SIGMA 50-150mm F2.8 EX DC APO OS HSM, designed especially for digital SLRs with an APS-C size image sensor. Sigma’s proprietary OS (Optical Stabiliser) system enables hand-held telephoto photography by allowing the use of shutter speeds approximately 4 stops slower than would otherwise be possible. Six SLD glass elements compensate for chromatic aberrations and provide high image quality throughout the zoom range. The Super Multi-Layer Coating reduces flare and ghosting and ensures sharp and high contrast images even at the maximum apertures. The lens design adopts an inner focusing and inner zooming system to provide convenient handling and the HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) ensures quiet and high speed autofocus while allowing full-time manual focus override. This lens has a minimum focusing distance of 80cm (31.5”) and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:6.3. The rounded 9 blade diaphragm creates an attractive blur to the out of focus areas of the image. The addition of Sigma’s TELE CONVERTER 1.4x EX DG APO or 2x EX DG APO produces a 70-210 F4 AF telephoto zoom lens or 100-300 F5.6 AF telephoto zoom respectively.
